This is a comedy movie starring Jon Lovitz along the lines of The Naked Gun.
This movie plays into the stereotype of a typical ghetto school. This movie
pulls from the movie Dangerous Minds that was a popular movie of the times.
There are some very funny parts of this movie but I think that it could
offend many blacks. Jon Lovitz is a very funny man that never got enough
good parts. Overall Rating: 4.9

Arthur

I thought this movie was a good story about how a rich man falls in love
with a girl from Queens. Dudley Moore plays the role of a drunk that has
a somewhat fixed marriage and is looking for true love. He has to find
a way out of his marriage and still have his fortunes in this hilarious
comedy with ties to a very modern day love story. This movie discredited
rich people as lazy but proper. Overall Rating: 4.5

White Men Can't Jump

I have seen this movie more times then I know. I have all the words
memorized.
Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes put on a con to win money. It ends up
that they became friends and take on the legends of the beach. Woody
Harrelson
plays the stereotypical white basketball player that can shoot but can't
dunk. His is a good enough player that he tricks many people. This movie
is very funny. Overall Rating: 8.3

Lucas

Lucas is about a boy that gets picked on when he is in high school. He
finally joins the football team and falls in love with a girl that is
way out of his league. He finally gets to play in a game and everybody
is cheering for him. He is in the play to win the game. This is a great
movie about a boy who has no friends and people start to learn how good
of a friend he can be.

Liar Liar

I thought that this movie was funny and entertaining.
It was not too ridiculous but not hysterical either.
It is very relaxing to watch an easygoing comedy like
this. The most comical scene of the movie is when Jim
Carrey is beating himself up in the bathroom. Jim
Carrey becomes a changed man and a good father. Overall Rating: 6.6

Loser

I thought this movie was going to be a little funnier
than it was. It turns out that it is just a movie
about a loser guy who is trying to win the heart of a
girl. The thing I didnt like about the movie is that
the boy is discriminated because he likes to study.
What is the deal with Mena Suvari liking older men in
these movies. Overall Rating: 3.8

Big

Big is an 80's comedy about a boy who gets his wish.
The story finds him very successful in New York and
still acts like a little boy. It shows how adults
should enjoy their life and their jobs more even if it
does not go along with how other adults are. It is a
story about staying a kid. Tom Hanks does not want to
stay an adult. this is what all adults wish they could
do, or they should. Overall Rating: 7.3

Fast Times at Ridgemont High

I thought that this movie was not all that it was
cracked up to be. It was high school students acting
like middle schoolers. I felt that this movie didn't
have any point and was not funny. It was a typical
80's movie. Only a bad one. The students are doing the
acts of high school kids but talking about it like
they are 12. Overall Rating: 4.4

Airheads

This movie had a few funny parts and they usually
involved Steve Buschemi or Adam Sandler. I have found
that it is impossible for Brendan Frazier to be funny.
All in all the movie is pointless and stupid. I would
not recommend watching it. The amount of times that
you will laugh during the movie will be less then the
amount of times you laugh watching an episode of who's
the boss. Overall Rating: 4.7

Dumb and Dumber

This is the funniest movie I have ever seen and I have probably seen it 50 times. My favorite scene is when Jeff Daniels throws the snowball at Lauren Holly's face. There are two many funny parts to count. You quote this movie over and over until everyone knows what you are quoting. This is the diamond of comedy movies. Overall Rating:9.6

American Pie

One of the funniest movies I have ever seen. This movie is geared towards upper teens and young adults. Stiffler is the funniest of the characters. This movie has many sexual scenes as the whole movie revolves around sex. The movie also ends up being a good love story just as Something About Mary or Meet the Parents. Overally Rating:9.3

Ghostbusters

This movie is a classic. It is something that can be watched by a little kid and be entertained. The comedy for kids is provided by Dan Ackroyd. It can also be funny to adult with the comedy of Bill Murray. The main thing is that the movie was a success and has been a success since it's release. The star studded cast makes this movie what it is today. With other actors it would not still be watched. Overall Rating: 7.7

The Nutty Professor

The nutty professor is a great movie that is very
funny. In this comedy
Eddie Murphy goes back to the comedy he used in Coming
to America where he
plays a couple of different roles. This movie is one
of those rare movie
that you truly laugh out loud at. The dinner table
scene of this movie
may go down as one of the funniest ever. Overall Rating:8.6

Dazed and Confused

This is the classic movie about nothing except having a good time. It is on a lot more adult level than a movie such as Fast Times at Ridgemont High. One of those movies that you sit with your friends and talk about and quote for hours. Many great actors of the present day acted in this when they were very young. There isn't much to say about this movie because there isn't much too it. It is just one of those movies that you have to see. Overall Rating: 8.2

The Great Outdoors

This is a great movie starring Dan Ackroyd and John Candy. This movie is
full of physical comedy which John Candy excels at. This movie is a
hysterical movie about the outdoors and a great comedic scene about a bear.
This movie is also about the bringing together of two brothers and two
families. Dan Ackroyd is the rich prick that shows a heart by the end
of the movie. Overall Rating: 7.6

Ace Ventura:When nature calls

This movie had many funny parts. Almost as many as part 1. I think by about
the middle of this movie I started getting sick of the Ace Ventura crazy
comedy was just a phrase and it was about to be over but he proved me wrong.
The funniest part of this whole movie is when he pretends the old man in
the house is the guy from Monopoly. Overall Rating: 7.6

Billy Madison

This was another funny movie starring Adam Sandler.
This is his first big movieafter he left Saturday Night Live. Sometimes this has Billy talking in a strange voice a little too much but for the most part this movie is hysterical. The funniest parts again are hard to determine,
personally I think the part with Billy and Chris Farley talking about Veronica Vaughn is the funniest part. Overall Rating: 8.8

The Money Pit

I think that this movie has some parts you can watch over and over. It is the story of a nightmare house that turns into a beautiful house by the end. The stuff that happens to the house is comical and this is one of the funnier 80's movies. The one guy who takes this situation very lighthearted which makes the movie lighthearted. Overall Rating: 7.5

Airplane 2

This movie is a little more of the same thing as the original. It could almost be mistaken for the same movie. The only difference between the movies is that one of them takes place in space. You would probably not even notice a difference if I hadn't told you. This does not take away from the movie it is still as funny as the first one even though it is almost the same. Same jokes, same characters, the true definition of a sequel. Overall Rating: 7.5

Me Myself and Irene

I thought that their were a few funny parts in this
movie. I had heard many
bad things about this movie but I thought it was
pretty funny. I think
that Jim Carrey is brilliant and the comedy is
controlled and not random.
The part that I thought was the funniest was when he
got his thumb shot off.
It turned in to sort of a love movie at the end. I am
not totally sure
why the girl was in trouble anyway. Overall Rating: 6.5

The Nutty Professor 2

This is also a funny movie starring Eddie Murphy. The
Nutty Professor 2
is another comical masterpiece but not quite as funny
as part 1. The old
lady has a much bigger part in this because she was
such a hit in part 1.
The also show a lot more of Buddy Love because his
comedy is much more funny.
Eddie Murphy's comedy skills are amazing. Overall Rating: 7.1

What about Bob

This was a comedy movie about an obsessive compulsive guy who finds a doctor that can help him and won't leave him alone. I thought this movie was funny. The funniest scene I think is when the bomb is being strapped to Bob. This doctor is annoyed by this character but he becomes lovable to the whole family. What about Bob is the kind of movie that all ages can enjoy. Overall Rating: 6.8

The Goonies

This is a classic tale about a group of kids who search for one eyed willie's treasure so they can save their families from having to move to a different town. They go on an escapade in an underground cave and battle death in this easy to watch film about that just makes you smile. They are being chased by a group of murderers who want their own piece of the treasure. This movie is focused on young teens but anyone can enjoy. Overall Rating: 7.3

Coming To America

This movie is supposed to be hysterical. I didn't find it that funny but a good lovestory. This is a story about loving someone for them and not the money that they have. It was a good touch by having the right girl come down the aisle at the end of the movie. There were a few
funny parts and great acting by Arsenio Hall and Eddie Murphy to play so many parts. This is where the idea for The Nutty Proffessor came from. Overall Rating: 6.9

Nothing But Trouble

This was a movie full of big name actors in a crazy
tale about a small t
town justice system. John Candy and Dan Ackroyd each
play a couple of
characters. This movie has some light humor about a
guy who is held for
running a stop sign in the town of Valkenvania. This
crazy justice system
is creative and funny. Demi Moore and Chevy Chase
have to escape this
crazy place and they find that this court is more
popular then wrong. Overall Rating: 5.9

Uncle Buck

John Candy plays the role of a dead beat brother who has to come and babysit.
his nieces and nephew while his sister in laws father is in the hospital.
This
is a funny movie about how he bonds with these kids and turns out doing a
pretty
good job as a babysitter. The time he spends in the house is hysterical
and destructive. When you watch a movie like this you see why it was such
a shame that John Candy died. Overall Rating: 7.4

Planes Trains and Automobiles

Steve Martin and John Candy meet up on a plane and Steve Martin can't get
rid of him. This is a crazy story where Steve Martin seems to have one
terrible thing happen to him after another. This movie is very funny
especially to see how Steve Martin gets so upset by Candy. John Candy
plays a sensitive man that is just trying to help but is extremely annoying. Overall Rating: 7.2

Chasing Amy

This is another of the movies that stars Silent Bob and Jay. This movie
is about a guy who falls in love with a lesbian. This movie is sort of
entertaining as the guy tries to change this girl into liking him. They
become great friends but she like women. A few funny parts in this movie
but is the worst of the Silent Bob and Jay movies. Overall Rating: 4.2

Clerks

This movie is the ultimate low budget film. It is realistic and funny
movie. Some may think that the humor is this movie isn't to their liking.
It is very dry humor funny to some and not funny to others. I found it to
be funny and I could relate to the people working in the convenience store.
The scenes that are the funniest may be different to anybody. This is the
first of the movies starring Silent Bob and Jay. Overall Rating: 8.3

Four Rooms

This movie was advertised as being like Pulp Fiction but a comedy. This
was totally false. This movie was terrible, the witches were unrealistic
and the bell hop acted like a moron all the time. I didn't have any
interest to even continue watching this movie. That is how much I thought
it was stupid. Any comedy movie with Antonio Banderas has to be bad. I
didn't even think it was funny. Overall Rating: 1.5

Man on the Moon

I thought this movie was a great story about an
extraordinary man that was never understood. If Andy
Kaufman were alive today he wouldnt be much different
than any of the comedians on Saturday Night Live. I
thought that Kaufman was such a loose cannon that even
in his death many thought it was just a prank. The
movie leaves that open to interpretation at the end
when he shows up on the stage. Overall Rating: 8.0

Rushmore

I thought this movie was somewhat comical but all in
all a strange movie. This fifteen year old boy whose
life is his academy falls in love with his teacher.
This teacher now becomes what he lives for. By the
end of the movie he has developed and matured and
learns that there is someone just like him their all
the time. He finds that he is a great writer and
takes passion in his writing. Overall Rating: 2.5

Blazing Saddles

Swingers

This is a movie about the night life in Los Angeles.
The night life of a couple of mid 20 year old guys. I
find this movie to be very realistic and has a few
funny parts but in general was more of a love story.
This guy finds out that his girl friend doesn't want
him anymore and he can't move on. When he finally does
he meets a much better girl and finds has to choose
between his old girl and his new girl. This is a very
common problem for people in the world today. Overall Rating: 3.9

Class

This was an 80's movie about a guy who sleeps with his
roomates mom. The things I thought were unbelievable
was how much these high school kids get away with.
Especially since they were in a private school. The
movie is a bad coincidence that could happen to anyone
I guess. This movie has many teen actors from the
eighties but isn't a very popular movie anymore. Overall Rating: 3.4

There's Something about Mary

One of the funniest movies of all time. Many classic scenes that will go down as some of the funniest scenes ever. This is the breakthrough film for Ben Stiller. It still draws in those who desire a love story. The hair gel scene and the bathroom scene will be laughed at for years to come. Never overcomedied, this movie is enjoyable as a comedy and as a regular movie. Overall Rating:9.5

Happy Gilmore

Happy Gilmore is Adam Sandler's funniest movie. This movie is one that will still have you laughing after you have seen it 100 times. I think what I liked the most about this movie is that Adam Sandler didn't speak in one of those stupid voices that he sometimes gets into the habit of doing. It this movie he is a real person which makes it funnier to the rest of the world. His bad boy antics and surrounding stars set up for a movie that will make you completely laugh outloud. Overall Rating: 9.3

Can't Hardly Wait

I have seen this movie so many times and I am not
totally sure why. I dont know if it is because of
some of the love scenes, or the funny scenes, or party
scenes. Kenny adds the humor to the movie.
Prestons quest for his true love finally comes true,
almost like it is fate. This is a teen movie that
some teens just can really relate to. Overall Rating: 8.1

Ace Ventura:Pet Detective

This was Jim Carrey's comedy breakthrough. Jim Carrey
is hysterical in
this movie and is a complete moron in the way that he
acts. This comedy
is enlightening and easy to watch. I think that many
people believe that
Jim Carrey is a moronic actor and could not play any
other role. we know
now that his comedy has moved well beyond being a
moron. Overall Rating:8.4

Road Trip

This was a hysterical movie that was the next year's version of American Pie. Tom Green is hysterical and the skinny guy adds to the humor. This movie wasn't as funny as American Pie but was definitely not a flop. The scene with the car jumping the bridge and the scene with the snake were the highlights. Overall Rating: 8.9

Animal House

This is the classic movie about college and fraternities. Belushi is a classic in this film and this is just a feel good do anything movie. This is one of the movies that you can watch over and over. This movie also has great oldies music that adds to the mood. The best scene is probably the scene with the horse or Belushi's speech. Overall Rating: 8.7

Don't be a menace to South Central when sippin your juice in the Hood

This movie is very funny. There are many funny parts
but they don't overdo
the nonsense. The funniest part of the whole movie is
the part where the one
guy talks about being in jail. This part is the first
that comes to mind
but there are many funny parts. This movie seems like
a bunch of black
guys making fun of the ghetto which is different then
when you usually
see it glorified. Marlon wayans gives the best
performance comedically. Overall Rating: 7.7

Friday

This movie was very funny and was also about standing
up for yourself.
Chris Tucker brings the comedy to the movie with his
eccentric talking and
his fast movements. Ice Cube has to learn to grow up
in the hood and stand
for himself against the town bully. He needs to learn
to be a man. Although
this movie is very funny, it does not have too much
ghetto that everyone
can't enjoy it. Overall Rating: 8.4

Airplane

This movie is very funny and its repeat of many of the same jokes don't seem to be annoying. The funniest scene is probably the guys speaking in jive or the part with the little girl and little boy. This movie is still very comical even today long after its release. Overall Rating: 8.5

Office Space

I found this movie to be funny almost the whole way through. This is my kind of comedy and I would love to do the things that the guy does in this movie. The only thing is that it is hard for someone to let go like that. It goes back to an old philosophy of american literature. They have the perfect portrayal of an office atmosphere of today. There are many parts of this movie that I could laugh at over and over even if someone else may not. Overall Rating: 8.4

Senseless

This movie was very funny about a guy that receives
great senses but looses
one. David Spade is funny but he is sort of the
asshole in the picture.
Marlon
wayans is very funny especially the parts when his
senses are expanded. He
uses
this to try to win a scholarship from a company so he
can make his mother
proud and help his family. I laugh everytime that I
see him with the ichy
ass. Overall Rating: 6.6

The Whole Nine Yards

I thought this movie was funny. I got mixed reviews from many people but
I love this kind of comedy. Bruce Willis plays his role perfectly and
Matthew Perry is my favorite character on friends. This movie is very
loose and is the kind of comedy that almost anyone can watch, especially
those in their teens and higher. Overall Rating: 7.2

Beetlejuice

This movie was a comedy abou dying and ghosts. This is a movie for the whole family, it can be watched by people of all ages. Michael Keaton brings comedy into the undeworld. This movie could be scary to little kids but a light easy going comedy to an adult. The girl has to help the family realize that they are dead and let them learn how to handle it and not let Beetlegeuse out to reek havoc. Overall Rating: 6.0

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

This the classic 80's comedy of rebellion and good times. Ferris Bueller is the high school students icon because of his popularity and his ability to do anything without getting caught. But as a movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off has only a few funny parts and never catches your attention to keep watching. You can easily watch half of this movie. Overall Rating: 8.3
